Nicky Salmon (BE Steward) and Sarah Verney (BE Technical Adviser) walked the proposed 2012 course with course designer James Willis on Monday 9^th January. The route will be similar to 2010, starting near Huntsman’s Close. James says that the water complex at the south end of The Lake is going to be tougher this year; there is a new combination through a natural hollow above the Beaufort Staircase; the jumps at the ‘coffin’ style combination will be pinned rails rather than soft brush; and he has built a new step which will be jumped up by the BE90s and down by the BE100s – sounds as though the whole course is a bit of a step up from last time!
